Emmanouil Tsiakidis studied Law at the European University of Cyprus specializing in Greek law. (European University of Cyprus – Greek Law Faculty). In his senior thesis entitled “Legislative and Legislative Preparatory Procedure provided by the new law 4622/2019 and the problem of overregulation in the right implementation of the Laws”, he presented a detailed analysis of the preparation, voting and implementation procedure of laws as provided by law 4622/2019, and in addition he also proceeded to the examination of the overregulation problem, the reasons of its appearance as well as its tackling.
He did his postgraduate studies at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam (Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam) on Maritime Law. The subject of his dissertation was “Legal issues of Switch Bills of Lading”. In his research he examined the usefulness of these alternative consignment notes for the facilitation of commercial transactions in the maritime field while he also noted the risks which may be hidden in the abusive use of these legal documents, the most important risk being fraud. He further elaborated on measures for the combating of these risks in order to guarantee legality and good faith in commercial transactions.
He is a Lawyer in Athens and has successfully undertaken and handled cases of Civil Law, Migration and Nationality Law, Aliens Law and he has also worked in the field of Property and Golden Visas.
He speaks English and French.
